police_crime_severity

B.C. crime severity index and clearance rates by police service (Statistics Canada)

Statistics Canada table 35-10-0063-01 (Uniform Crime Reporting Survey), 1998 to the latest year, for British Columbia and each B.C. police service (municipal forces, RCMP detachments, and others): the crime severity index and the weighted clearance rate, overall, violent and non-violent, the youth indexes, and each one's percent change on the year. These are indexes and rates of police-reported crime, not counts of crimes; the table has no offence counts. Choose one statistic (default Crime severity index). Without year_from and year_to the latest year is returned; give both for a time series (one alone is open-ended on the other side). A published 0 can be a placeholder rather than a measurement (the first year's percent change, or a service not yet reporting): such rows carry zero_may_mean_no_data. police_service takes name words (Chilliwack, Vancouver, Abbotsford), geo_code the table's 5-digit code (59 is the province) and kind narrows by police service type. A value the table does not publish is null with its symbol, never 0. To find a police service's code, search by name first.

Cost: 1 unit of your allowance (see Rate limits).
