bc_population

B.C. population estimates and projections by region, year, age and gender (BC Stats)

Population of a B.C. region by year from BC Stats' sub-provincial estimates (July 1, back to 2001 for municipalities and regional districts, 1971 for development regions and 1976 for the other region types) and projections (to 2046): the total and, with age_bands, five-year age bands, for the total, female or male population. Region types: municipality, regional district, development region, health authority, health service delivery area, school district, college region, children and family development region (code 0 is the province in every file). Pick an area_type, then an area by name words or code, a year or range, and estimate or projection. Estimates are not census counts; projections are one scenario. Not income, households or Indigenous population (separate BC Stats files), and not community health service areas, local health areas or school trustee areas.

Cost: 2 units of your allowance (see Rate limits).
