aboriginal_lands_lookup

Canada Lands Survey System: is this point within Aboriginal lands (federal boundary data)

Whether a point (lat, lon in WGS 84, British Columbia) lies within Aboriginal lands in the federal Canada Lands Survey System (inside a CLSS boundary; Natural Resources Canada, Open Government Licence - Canada): Indian reserves and land claim settlement lands. Returns the CLSS id, name, land type and region of the lands the point is inside. Federal government boundary data, not information from or about any Nation. Not a legal determination of a boundary, not all Indigenous land or title, and no geometry, list or name search: a point with no boundary returns an empty answer, which is not a statement about Indigenous presence or rights.

Cost: 5 units of your allowance (see Rate limits).
